| Demo Time Sheet Demo Here we give you an overview of how a Notes based Time Sheet application is converted to a Java based application and how our ToJava Tag Library can provide a simple way to create the unique Notes features and to build the Notes like front-end in the J2EE application. This demo has two main parts: form and view. The form handles user's input. The views display the documents, which are viewed by categories and can be sorted on different fields. Users are allowed to read and/or edit the documents as well as create their own. This demo also provides Notes-like security features. Form
View To replicate Notes view, the ToJava tag library are developed to build standard, categorized and calendar views. The standard and categorized views provide navigation including page and sorting in the views. It includes a few features that are not common in Notes. For instance, we have two types of sorting in a categorized column. Users can sort the documents within a category or sort all the documents in the categorized view. The option of having a check box in front of each document to run macros for batch processing is also available. Additionally users can export all the documents or the document(s) they selected in the view to an Excel spreadsheet.
The calendar view provides page navigation and also navigation between the monthly, weekly and daily views. Documents in the calendar view can also be exported to an Excel spreadsheet.
