Why ToJava?

Lotus Notes is a great groupware product. It has a unique integrated database that is document-based. The advantage of this design is that Notes developers can easily create a database and implement it with little database design background. However, Lotus Notes/Domino has weaknesses that reveal themselves as the applications get large and complex. Since the Notes database is a "denormalized" database - basically, a flat table, from a relational database standpoint, this causes problems when the applications require an abundance of relationships with data.
